Anthony “Tony” Wizner is a distinguished retired U.S. Army Colonel with 30 years of active duty, marked by senior leadership roles within the U.S. Army and the Department of Defense. A proven leader, he excels in delivering mission-critical results related to cost, schedule, and performance, with extensive experience in government contract management, strategic communication, and advanced analytical skills. As Military Deputy to the Special Operations Acquisition Executive at US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), he directed acquisition management, policy, and logistics for over 350 programs valued at over $4.5 billion annually, supporting 80,000 Special Operations Forces and interacting with a wide range of stakeholders including Congress, DoD, and industry. He also led the Command’s $1B annual Sensitive Activities acquisition portfolio.
Mr. Wizner’s extensive command experience also includes leading the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) – Central Region, overseeing 119,000 contracts valued at over $1.1 trillion. He also commanded DCMA Dallas, and notably, DCMA Afghanistan, where he was responsible for contracts valued at over $17 billion and achieved $45 million in cost savings for the U.S. government. His earlier roles included various developmental leadership positions and significant acquisition responsibilities. Tony holds a Master of Science in Information Technology Management from the Naval Postgraduate School, and a Bachelor of Science from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
